September is the perfect time to start prepping for the upcoming snowmobile season. Checking your equipment, going through your machine, starting to practice the snow dance. It’s also time for the State to start preparing for trail grooming.
On Saturday, September 14, the Utah Snowmobile Association will be working with the Utah State Division of Natural Resources (DNR) to start marking the trail system at Strawberry. A new trail spur will be added to the complex this year, increasing the groomed riding by several miles. We will be meeting at the UDOT shed just off Highway 40, about 1 mile east of the Strawberry Visitor’s Center, at 9 am, with the goal of sending the work crews out by 9:30 am.
With the new trail, we will need as much help as we can get. This is a great opportunity to get the whole family out to help prepare one of Utah’s key riding areas, and meet other riders from around the state. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org Thursday, September 12 with your name and the total number of people you’ll be bringing so we can make sure to have enough food and drinks, and the tools you will be able to bring along.
Our friends at Tracked Out Adventures(http://www.trackedoutadventures.com) will be providing lunch and drinks for volunteers.
